A Toast To Goat’s Cheese

Ingredients

  • Rye bread, lightly toasted
  • 3 tbsp goat cheese, room temperature
  • 5 walnuts, coarsely chopped
  • 1/2 tsp olive oil
  • Sea salt, to taste
  • Freshly cracked pepper, to taste
  • 1 tsp honey, for drizzling
  • Fresh thyme or parsley, to garnish

Instructions:

  • Preheat the oven to 200°C.
  • Arrange the toast on a small rimmed baking sheet. Spread slices evenly with fresh goat cheese, and sprinkle with walnuts. Drizzle some olive oil and place ’em in the oven.
  • Bake until the walnuts are toasted and the cheese is warm, about 5-7 minutes.
  • Transfer the toasts to plates and season with sea salt and pepper. Top it off with some honey and sprinkle with thyme or parsley leaves.
