
Ingredients
- 3 pieces boneless chicken breast, chopped into cubes
- 4 metal/bamboo skewers
- 1/2 cup yogurt
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tbsp lemon juice
- 6 cloves of garlic, peeled and smashed
- 1 tbsp tomato puree
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp all spice powder
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp ground garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp oregano
- 1/2 tsp pepper
- 1/2 tsp nutmeg
- 1/2 tsp ginger powder
- 1 1/2 tsp salt
Preparation
- In a bowl, add the yoghurt, olive oil, lemon juice, 6 smashed garlic cloves, tomato puree, paprika, five spice powder, cinnamon, garlic powder, ginger powder, oregano, pepper, salt and nutmeg. Mix to combine.
- Add the cubed chicken breast to the mixture and let it marinade for at least 1 hour, but preferably 4 hours.
- Once done, place them on skewers.
- Cook on a griddle pan for 15 minutes (keep rotating the skewers and make sure to get the charred marks).
- Once cooked through, serve with some garlic toum or tzatziki and za’atar pita bread.
